Fragrances Oil Kits To Make Scented Products

An article about wholesale fragrance products

Here it is – the definitive list of top MLM companies.  Please understand that ‘top MLM’ is not necessarily the same as ‘best MLM’.  That’s a judgment call only you can make.

Published in Direct Selling News, the full list consists of 68 of the top MLM companies that do more than $100 million a year in sales.    Pretty impressive.   Anyone who says that somehow this is a flimsy industry are clearly coming from ignorance and self delusion.  I’ve included the top 10 MLM’s for your interest.

As you would expect, Avon and Amway are the leaders.  Interestingly, not that long ago Amway was number 1, with Avon trailing.  But in recent years Avon has come storming back.  Not that Amway is doing too bad!  Last year’s sales were up 8 per cent, which is great considering their size and age.

The US and Japan take the lion’s share of companies featured, with the US accounting for 44 and Japan 14, making a total of 58 out of 68.

This list shows that collectively the top 30 account for more than $48 billion in wholesale revenues!  Not too shabby.  See if your favorite company is listed here.

1. Avon. $10.7 billion in estimated wholesale corporate revenue.  New York based Avon was founded in 1886, and therefore qualifies as the grand daddy of MLM/direct sales companies (or should that be grand ma?).  They market beauty products, jewelry and apparel using personal marketing methods – door to door is still their mainstay.  They have a multi-level and single level pay plan.

2. Alticor (Amway).  $8.2 billion in estimated wholesale corporate revenue.  They got started in 1959 by Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel, who were previously top distributors in another company, Nutrilite (years later Nutrilite was purchased by Amway).

Based in Ada Michigan, the company has a large manufacturing and research facility which manufactures most of their core product lines – home care, nutritional and personal care.  They also market many other products including security, insurance, phone systems and grocery lines.  The company employs person to person marketing.   Their pay plan is multi level.

3. Vorwerk (JAFRA).   This German based company clocks up $3.4 billion in estimated wholesale corporate revenue.  Founded in 1883, Vorwek markets |osmetics though their Jafra division and home appliance products via Vorwerk. Distribution methods used include party plan and direct selling.  Their pay plan is multi-level.

4. Mary Kay.  Pink rules!  Founded in 1963, Mary Kay has produced $2.6 billion in estimated wholesale corporate revenue.  This Texas based business markets skincare and color cosmetics using party plan and person to person marketing within a multi level and single level pay plan.

5. Herbalife.  ‘Make money now, ask me how’ should be the mantra of this 29 year old Los Angeles based company – plenty of their distributors have done exactly that.  Sales (wholesale revenues) last year were approx $2.4 billion.  Products are focused on health, weight management and personal care.  They use person to person marketing via an MLM pay plan.

6. Primerica Financial Services.  Considering this business primarily operates in North America only, their results are mighty impressive.   $2.2 billion in estimated wholesale revenue last year for this Georgia based company,  which was originally known as A L Williams and founded by Art Williams himself.  Founded in 1977, they market financial services using person to person marketing and employ a multi level comp plan.

7. Tupperware.   Who said there wasn’t money in plastic?  Founded in 1946 this Florida based company produced approx $2.2 billion in sales (wholesale revenues) last year.  They market storage and serving products, plus beauty and personal care products, via a party plan and person to person marketing system.  Their pay plan is multi-level.

8. Natura Cosmeticos.   Brazil has its own MLM success story – last year Natura produced approx $1.9 billion in sales (wholesale revenues).   Founded in 1969, Natura markets cosmetics, personal care and fragrance products using person to person marketing.

9. Oriflame.  Swedish based Oriflame generated $1.9 billion in approx sales (wholesale revenues) last year.  Founded in 1967, the company markets beauty products using person to person marketing within a multi-level pay plan structure.

10. Forever Living.  Most of this Arizona based company’s sales derive from North America as their foray into international markets had mixed results.  But they still clocked up $1.7 billion in estimated wholesale revenue.  Founded in 1978, the company markets nutritional supplements, skincare, cosmetics and weight loss products.  They use person to person marketing via a multi-level pay plan.
